I cannot believe I'm already 29 weeks....only 11 more to go! Things are going pretty well so far, except for the occasional leg cramp. Thank goodness the cramps don't come daily....it feels as if someone has reached inside my leg and twisted my muscle like a pretzel. Yikes! On a happier note, my little one is moving more. He's becoming more active during the day....especially after a good meal. Ryan was a little depressed that his son doesn't appreciate Mexican food as much as he does. What can I say....our little one appears to be taking after mommy. I'm not a huge fan myself!
My growing belly as of today:
Week 29 (update provided by Gerber.com)
By this time your baby may weigh just under 3 pounds and is a bit less than 14 inches long.
Now that organ and nerve development are almost complete, your baby will start gaining weight very quickly—mostly in the form of body fat. This fat will provide insulation for your baby and will fill out most of the wrinkles in her skin, making her look like a plump, healthy infant.
Your baby's brain continues its important developmental work this week. In fact it is growing so quickly now, it may cause her flexible skull bones to swell slightly. The folds and fissures of the brain continue to develop, allowing room for important interconnections between nerve cells. During this week brain-wave patterns begin to look like those of a full-term baby.

Check Up
It's going to be a great day....my prenatal check up went well. My baby's heartbeat was a solid 159...very good indeed! I always look forward to my appointment, it's a wonderful feeling to hear his little heart beating. Truly amazing!!
My growing baby: Week 27 (provided by Parents.com)
Your baby is getting downright chubby as fat deposits continue accumulating beneath his skin, which looks pink because blood vessels are so close to the surface. He'll rely on those fat deposits after he's born to provide energy and insulate him against cold. By the end of this week, he'll probably weigh more than 2 pounds. The placenta is now almost fully developed.

I finally joined the blog community! Everyone gives me a hard time about not having a facebook account, but I honestly don't see the need for one. I've gone this long without it... apparently a blog is the next best thing :)
Join me as I countdown the remaining days until motherhood begins (estimated due date: June 4th). My third trimester is officially underway!! Check out my growing belly below (1st Pic: 19 weeks, 2nd Pic: 24 weeks).
